Heather first experienced a reiki treatment in the early 2000’s and it had a profoundly healing and transformational effect on her.  Throughout the years that followed, her curiosity towards Reiki continued with various other treatments along the way, including enjoying antenatal Reiki sessions during her pregnancy with her second child. This curiosity piqued further in late 2011, when she decided to book a course of treatments that lead Heather to making the decision to begin studying Reiki herself in early 2012. This resulted in Heather completing her training in Usui Reiki Evolution training to level three, or master teacher level with her teacher Irene Forsyth by the March of 2014. That same year saw Heather also gain a diploma in Indian Head Massage with teacher Susan Cross, leading swiftly on to Heather beginning an intensive study and practice of Kriya Yoga, both in the UK and India over the 10 years that followed and in which she became qualified to teach in 2018.

 

Heather's lifelong interest in all things mystical and metaphysical, her connection to India and the yogic sciences, her personal journey with self-realisation, along with her affinity with the violet flame, Arch Angels and her deep love of astrology; both western tropical and sidereal Vedic, all serve to inform, as well as feed into her desire to serve and to share the benefits of Reiki and spiritual nourishment with others.

 

Coming full circle, back to where her Usui Reiki journey began, Heather is currently offering Reiki treatments on Saturdays at The Zentist in York.

Reiki is one of the most calming and beautiful experiences. I've received reiki from Heather both in person and at a distance and both have had a big impact on me. I am an anxious person and a worrier, but reiki has helped me to de-stress during exam periods, sleep well when I'm feeling run down, relax me before important events, and help me feel grounded when I needed it.
